The Deafening Sound of Wales Beating England

When we told Cynthia we were coming to Cardiff, Wales she responded with, “we’ll drag you to the pub where we sing songs and cheer on the team even though they can’t hear us, because we’re crazy. It’s fun!”

It turns out that the rugby 6 Nations game between rivals, Wales and England, was today. True to her word, Cynthia dragged us to a pub to watch the match.

Wales scored the winning points in the last  8 min of the game and held off England from scoring a last min point in a move that the ref had to watch on the screen in order to call.

For these two epic occasions, the room full of Welshmen erupted into deafening cheers with beer and wine flying into the air and raining down followed by songs, hugs, and group swaying.

Walking home from the pub the streets where filled with drinking and singing Wales fans.

We’ll go to bed smelling of beer and our ears may never stop ringing, but THAT is the way to experience rugby.
